Thirukkalyanam, or the celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi (Goddess Parvathi) with Lord Sundareswar (Lord Shiva), is one of the major events during the annual Chithirai festival at the

I need one clarification ragading the celestial marriege of lord siva with meenaskhi. That is why the Alagar goes down to the river. Actually i don't know the reason. kindly clarify the above.
