Thottummal Kavullathil Sree Kali temple is located at Thottummal in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Maha Kali. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Meena Masam – Meenam 14 to Meenam 15 (March 28 to March 29).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Thottummal Kavullathil Sree Kali temple are Elladathu Bhagavathy theyym, Gurukkal theyyam, Porkali Bhagavathi theyyam, Sasthappan theyyam and Vishnumoorthi theyyam.
This a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil. The roof of
the shrine is decorated with traditional temple motifs. There are other smaller
sreekovils and raised platforms for other deities. Certain deities are
worshipped under trees. Sankranti in every month is of great importance.
