Niduvaloor Ambalathan Kandi Sree Dharma Deva temple is located at Niduvaloor in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Dharma Daivam, Bhagavathy, Muthappa and several other deities that are commonly worshiped in kavu and sacred places in the region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Meena Masam – Meenam 16 to Meenam 17 (March 30 to March 31).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Niduvaloor Ambalathankandi Sree Dharma Deva temple are Vayanattu Kulavan theyyam, Elladathu Bhagavathi theyyam, Puliyoor Kannan theyyam, Gulikan theyyam, Muthappan theyyam, Kudiveeran theyyam and Kandanarkelan theyyam.
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms and under
trees. The roof and walls of the main shrine are decorated with traditional
temple motifs. Sankranti in every month is of great significance.
