Chalakkara Keezhanthur Bhagavathy temple is located at Chalakkara in Mahe. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi or Devi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 2 and Kumbham 3 (February 14 and February 15).

Bhagavathy temple are Vasoorimala theyyam, Guilikan theyyam, Khandakarnan
theyyam, Gurukarnavar theyyam, Naga Bhagavathi theyyam and Sasthappan or
Kuttichathan theyyam.
This is a small beautiful temple with a chathura sreekovil –
square sanctum sanctorum – for the main deity. The roof and the walls of the
shrine are traditionally decorated. There are other smaller sreekovil and
square platforms for other deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees.
