Azhikode Nambolan Kavu temple is located at Azhikode south in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Nambolan daivam. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for a couple of days in Malayalam Meda Masam – (April).
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Azhikode Nambolan Kavu temple are Gulikan theyyam, Nambolan Daivam, Kurathi theyyam and Pottan theyyam.
This is a small shrine with a chathura sreekovil – square
sanctum sanctorum. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms and under
trees. Sankranti in every month is of great significance. This is a small
temple maintained by a family.
