Kurti Tea Garden Vishwakarma Temple

The Vishwakarma Temple is situated in the Kurti Tea Garden, located in the Nagrakata block of the Dooars region, Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal. This temple is a rare dedication to the Hindu deity Vishwakarma, revered as the architect of the universe and god of artisans, which ensures it attracts devotees throughout the year.

The temple, built in 1994, maintains an exceptional standard of devotion. Unlike the common annual observance of Vishwakarma Puja, rituals here are performed four times daily for all 365 days of the year. The shrine is not exclusive to Vishwakarma; it also features daily worship for Ram and Sita, Shiva and Parvati, Durga, and Lakshmi-Narayan. The full operational and maintenance costs of the temple are borne by the tea garden authorities.

Biswakarma Puja annually held on September 17 attracts a large number of devotees. People also offer prayers here before starting new job.

Unemployed young men and women offer prayers here for early job and happy life.
