In the context of the Devi Patan Temple at Tulsipur near Balrampur, in Uttar Pradesh, India, it is essential to mention the fair held during Chaitra Navratri. Every year, starting from the first day of the bright half of Chaitra (Chaitra Shukla Pratipada), marking the beginning of the new year, a grand fair is organized on the occasion of the Vasantik (spring) Navratri. This fair lasts for almost a month.

Devi Patan Mandir Chaitra Navratri festival 2026 begins on March 19. Ashtami and Navami rituals will be observed on March 26 and March 27. Ashtami puja and Kanya Puja on Navami attracts maximum devotees.

The festival concludes a month later in mid April.

People from all corners of the country, as well as from Nepal, come in large numbers to visit and worship Maa Pateshwari. Along with a variety of shops, the fair also features games, entertainment shows, and theater performances.
