Theeyarpalam Cheruvai Tharavadu Devasthanam Temple – Theyyam Thira Kaliyattam Festival

Theeyarpalam Cheruvai Tharavadu Devasthanam temple is located at Theeyarpalam near Madikkai in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to deities that are commonly worshipped in tharavadu, kavu and sacred places in Kannur region. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Vrischika Masam – Vrischikam 21 to Vrischikam 23 (December 7 to December 9).

This a family-maintained temple with a small chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum. Some deities are worshipped on small square platforms and under trees. Pujas are held mainly during Sankranti and Vishu.
