Kotty Kannangattu Bhagavathi temple is located at Kotty near Payyannur in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Kannangattu Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held once in four years for six days in Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 3 to Dhanu 8 (December 19 to December 24). The last theyyam was held here in 2022.

Kannangattu Bhagavathi temple are Kannangattu Bhagavathy theyyam, Vishnumoorthi
theyyam, Raktha Chamundi theyyam, Puthiya Bhagavathy theyyam, Madayil Chamundi
theyyam, Kuvalamthattu Bhagavathy theyyam and Gulikan theyyam.
This is a small traditional Kerala style temple with a chathura sreekovil. The walls and roof of the sanctum are decorated with traditional temple motifs. There are no major structures. Other deities popularly worshipped in Kavu and temples in Kannur region are also worshipped in the temple in small sreekovils, under trees and atop raised square platforms, which are exposed to the elements.
The temple festival days are noted various unique pujas and
rituals, melam, decoration, fireworks and traditional temple performing art
forms.
Sankranti in every Malayalamasam and Vishu are important
days in the temple. The temple has a small pond.
