Mundayad Athirakam Koroth Tharavadu Devasthanam temple is located on Mundayad - Kakkad Rd, at Athirakam near Elayavoor in Kannur District, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Thai Paradevatha, Vayanattu Kulavan and Vishnumoorthi. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for four days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 25 to Dhanu 26 (January 10 to January 11).
The temple has a square sanctum sanctorum (chathura sreekovil) for the main deity. The roof and walls are decorated with traditional motifs. The other deities are worshipped in small sanctums, atop uncovered small raised platforms and under trees. Sankranti (which falls in the middle of English month) in every month as per Malayalam calendar is of great importance here.
