Karicheri Vilakkumadam Mahavishnu Temple – Theyyam Thira Kaliyattam Festival

Karicheri Vilakkumadam Mahavishnu temple is located on the Nittamkode - Karichery Road at Karichery, Perladkam, Panayal, Kolathur in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Mahavishnu. The annual festival begins on Vrischikam 30 and ends on Dhanu 2 (December 16 to December 18).

This is a typical Kerala style temple with a chathura sreekovil, chuttambalam and namaskara mandapam. Daily pujas are held in the shrine. Ekadashi is an important day in a fortnight. Vishu and Thiruonam are important festivals here.

The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Karicheri Vilakkumadam Mahavishnu temple are Vishnumoorthi theyyam and Vattakayathu Chamundi theyyam.
