Cherukunnu Kottolathu Tharavadu temple is located on the Cherukunnu-Vellarangal Inner Link Road at Cherukunnu in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Thondachan Daivam, Vayanattu Kulavan ,Kandanarkelan and other related deities. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Dhanu Masam – Dhanu 28 to Dhanu 29 (January 12 to January 13).
Important theyyams that can be witnessed at Cherukunnu Kottolathu Tharavadu temple are Vayanattu Kulavan theyyam, Kudiveeran
theyyam, Kundoor Chamundi theyyam, Kurathi theyyam, and Kandanarkelan theyyam.
The temple has a small chathura sreekovil with a
traditionally decorated roof. Other deities are worshipped on smaller sanctums
and on raised for square platforms. Some deities are given a place under trees.
