Karinkayam Sree Vayanattu Kulavan temple is located at Karinkayam in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vayanattu Kulavan. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam three days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 15 to Kumbham 17 (February 27 to March 1).
The main deities are worshipped in a square sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil. Some deities are worshipped on square platforms which are open to the elements. Certain deities are given space under trees. Vishu is an important festival here. Sankranti in every Malayalam month is of great significance. The roof of the main temple is traditionally decorated.
