Sree Mavilayi Parakkandi Bhagavathi temple is located at Mavilayi near Kadachira in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and other famous deities worshipped in the tharavadu and kavu in the region. The annual theyyam festival in the temple is held for two days in Malayala Masam Meenam – Meenam 2 and Meenam 3 (March 16 and March 17).
The temple has two tastefully decorated chathura sreekovil. There are spaces for other deities mainly on square platforms and in small sreekovil. The main pujas in the temple are performed on Sankranti day as per Malayalam Calendar. Vishu is an important festival in the temple.
