Purameri Kalluvalappil Sree Bhagavathy temple is located on Kannur – Alavil – Valapattanam Road at Chirakkal in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavthy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival at Purameri Kalluvalappil Sree Bhagavathy temple is held for two days in Malayalam Meena Masam – Meenam 4 and Meenam 5 (March 18 to March 19).
The shrine here is a small chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum with a traditionally decorated roof. The other deities are worshipped under trees and on uncovered raised square platforms. Vishu and Sankranti are important days in the temple.
