Chalad Kootteri temple is located at Chalad in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Vettakkorumakan and Bhagavathy. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for three days in Malayalam Meda Masam – Medam 4 to Medam 6 (March 20 to March 22).
This is a traditional small shrine with a chathura sreekovil – square sanctum sanctorum of the main deities. The other deities of the temple are worshipped in smaller shrines, raised platforms and under trees.
