Aduthila Chenichery Cheruvarakkel Tharavadu Devasthanam temple is located at Aduthila in Kannur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagavathy or Goddess and other deities commonly worshipped in tharavadu in the reigon. The annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival is held for two days in Malayalam Kumbha Masam – Kumbham 26 and Kumbham 27 (March 10 and March 11).
This is a small shrine with a Chathura sreekovil and other
smaller structures for other deities. Some deities are worshipped under trees. Certain
deities are worshipped atop raised small square platforms.
The important theyyams that can be witnessed at Aduthila
Chenicheri Cheruvarakkel Tharavadu temple are Veeran theyyam, Kattuchirakkal
Bhagavathy theyyam and Kannikoru Makan theyyam.
