Periyattu Kandar Theyyam (പെരിയാട്ട് കണ്ടർ തെയ്യം) is a rare theyyam performed during the annual theyyam thira kaliyattam festival in Kannur and Kasaragod districts of North Kerala. As per information, this is theyyam based on folklore and is a male theyyam. Periyaattu Kandar theyyam story is that of a person showing extra ordinary courage and selflessness. This led to him becoming a Daivakaru. A theyyam is performed annually in remembrance of his greatness.
The theyyam is offered prayers for peace and prosperity.
