Pady Pullikkarinkali Temple – Theyyam – Kaliyattam Festival

Pady Pullikkarinkali temple is located at Pady in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual kaliyattam – theyyam festival in the temple is held for six days in Malayalam Makara Masam – Makram 20 to Makaram 25 (January 20 to January 25).

Puja is held on the Sankranthi day as per Malayalam calendar. The main shrine is with a small decorated chathura sreekovil which is gold plated. The other deities are worshipped on square platforms and also in small sreekovils. Vishu is an important festival in the temple.

The important theyyams performed in the temple as part of the annual Kaliyattam and theyyam festivals are Pulikandan theyyam, Puliyoor Kali theyyam, Puliyoor Kannan theyyam and Pullikarinkali theyyam.
