Mambaram Bavode Varayil Madappura Muthappan – Bhagavathy temple is located at Bavode in Kannur district, Kerala. This is a kudumba temple or family owned shrine and is famous for its annual theyyam festival held usually from the first Friday to Sunday of Malayalam Meena Masam.
The theyyams performed in this temple are Manthana Pothi, Muthappan, Pookutty Sasthappan, Thiruvappana and Vishnumurthy Theyyam.
There are two main shrines here and several platforms dedicated to subsidiary deities. The main deities worshipped in the temple are Muthappan and Bhagavathy.
