Omalloor Chakkulathukavu Devi Temple

Omalloor Chakkulathukavu Devi temple is located at Omalloor in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy who is worshiped here in the form of Chakkulathu Kavu Devi.

This is a small devi temple with a chathura sreekovil. There are no other major structures or upa devatas. A huge tree forms the backdrop of the temple.

Annual pongala festival in the temple attracts thousands of women.

The deity in the shrine is a wish fulfilling deity – it is believed that she solves problems in married life. Unmarried men and women find relief to problems in marriage after worshipping here and the deity bless them with early good marriage.

Navratri, Ramayana Masam, Thrikarthika are important days in a year in the temple. The most important days for performing puja are Tuesdays and Fridays.
