Chuttippara Mahadeva temple is located atop a hill at Valanchuzhy in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva or Mahadeva and the temple is also known as Harihara Mahadeva Temple. Shivratri is the most important festival in the shrine.
A Shivling was worshipped atop the mountain from ancient times and it was open to the elements of nature. Few years ago a sreekovil was built around the shivling. The subsidiary deities worshipped here are Nagas.
Pradosham and Mondays are important here. Special pujas are conducted on Ayilyam nakshatra day for Nagas.
