Tallest Murugan Murti In The World Is Now In India At Salem In Tamil Nadu – Ethapur Sri Muthumalai Murugan Thirukovil

The tallest Murugan murti (wrongly called statue or idol) in the world is now located at Ethapur Sri Muthumalai Murugan Thirukovil in Salem district, Tamil Nadu. The height of the murti is 146 feet.

Earlier, the world famous gold-painted Murugan murti at Batu Caves in Malaysia was the tallest. It has a height of 140 feet.

Located at Sri Muthumalai Murugan Thirukovil at Ethapur on the Salem-Chennai national highway, the murti was consecrated on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

The murti was made possible by the enthusiasm, hard work and never say die attitude of Sri Muthumalai Murugan Trust.

Tiruvarur Thiagarajan, the same sculptor who made possible the Murugan murti at Batu Caves, sculpted the colossal murti of Subramanian. The work of the murti began in 2016.
