Ramamangalam Kuzhupilli Kavu Temple – Festival

Ramamangalam Kuzhupilli Kavu temple is located at Ramamangalam in Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual festival in the temple coincides with Meena Bharani day in Malayalam Meena Masam.

This is traditional temple with a chathura sreekovil of Bhagavathi. The temple has small upa devata shrines.  The shrine has special Naga worship area.

The annual festival, which begins with kodiyettam, is noted for Tantric pujas and rituals. Procession, ezhunnallathu, and melam are part of the festival. The festival concludes with arattu procession.

The shrine observes Ramayana Masam, Navratri, Ashtami, Navami, Vidyarambham,  Ayilyam nakshatra in Kanni masam, Mandalakalam and Thrikarthika festival.
