Vedivechan Kovil Bhoothamman Temple – Festival

Vedivachan Kovil Bhoothamman Temple is located at Vedivachan Koil on National Highway 66 in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. This is an ancient shrine dedicated to Bhoothamman – a deity part of Shakti worship in ancient villages of South India. The annual Kumbha Koda festival is held in Kumbha Masam.

The main offering in the temple is Vedi vazhipadu. Lots of travelers on the road offer prayers here for a safe journey.

The small temple situated at the middle of two roads. The shrine is beautifully painted.

The annual festival is famous for colorful procession, pujas and rituals.
