Thalavady Puthuparambu Bhagavathy Temple – Festival - Padayani

Thalavady Puthuparambu Bhagavathy temple is located at Edathua - Parathode – Thiruvalla road in Thalavady in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The temple observes the annual Kumbha Bharani festival (February – March).

The annual festival is famous for caparisoned elephants, ezhunnallathu and padayani.

The shrine observes the annual pongala festival.

The shrine is located on a vast ground surrounded by paddy fields. This is a typical Kerala style temple with chatura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam, shrines of upa devatas.

The temple also observes various festivals and annual rituals of Goddess Bhagavathy including prathishta dinam, Navratri, Thrikarthika, Ramayana Masam and Mandala Kalam.
