Puthur Thekkini Amma Kavu temple is located at Puthur near Lakkidi in Palakkad district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and the 10-day annual festival is famous as the Thekkini Amma Kavu arattu Mahotsavam. It is observed on the Chithira nakshatra day in Meena Masam (March – April).
This is a small temple with a kodimaram, chuttambalam and chathura sreekovil. The shrine has a Velichappadu.
The annual festival in the temple is famous for procession of elephants, ezhunellippu of thidambu of Bhagavathy, temple performing art forms, caparisoned elephants and yearly pujas and rituals. Palakombu ezhunellippu, Navakam, panchagavyam, tantric pujas, thayambaka, kelipattu, pandi melam, niramala and kalampattu. The festival concludes with Arattu ceremony in the temple pond.
The shrine also observes Navratri with ezhuthiniruthu and Thrikarthika.
