Peroor Kavu Bhagavathi temple is located at Peroor near Ettumanoor in Kottayam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual festival in the temple is held in Meenam month and coincides with the Meena Bharani (March – April).
The sankalpam of Bhagavathi worshipped in the temple is that of Goddess Bhadrakali. The upa devatas worshipped in the temple include Vishnu and Rakshas. The most important day in a week is Friday.
There is a belief that a visit to Ettumanoor Mahadeva temple is complete only after visiting Peroor Kavu as the Goddess is believed to be the daughter of Ettumanoorappan.
The west facing temple has a nalambalam, chathura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam and shrines of upa devatas.
The annual festival is famous for performing art forms of Kerala, melam, annual pujas and rituals and procession.
Pathamudayam on Medam 10 (April 23 or April 24) is an important day in the temple.
