Koodal Sridevi Temple – Festival

Koodal Sridevi temple is located at Koodal in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Mother Goddess Sridevi. The annual Kumbha Bharani festival is an important occasion in the shrine.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for procession, caparisoned elephants, Kala – huge effigies of decorated twin ox, thalappoli, and pujas and rituals.

The temple has a chathura sreekovil, namaskara mandapam, nalambalam and kodimaram (flag pole). The outer walls of the nalambalam are covered with mural paintings.

Prathishta dinam, Navratri (Vidyarambham) and Thrikarthika are important festival in the shrine.
