Kollam Kollurvila Bharanikavu Bhagavathy temple is located at Madannada in Kollam, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. Meena Bharani festival held in Malayalam Meena month (March – April) is the most important festival at Kolloorvila Bharanikavu temple. Olakambham is a unique ritual held here on Kumbha Bharani day (February – March).
The annual festival is famous for Meena Pongal, Thiruvabharana Ghoshayathra etc. Nedum Kuthira Iduppu (നെടുംകുതിരയെടുപ്പ്) is the main event during the Meena Bharani festival.
The shrine observes various other Bhagavati festivals and rituals including Navratri with Ashtami, Navami and Ezhuthiniruthu.
This is a typical Kerala style traditional temple with nalambalam, namaskara mandapam and a chathura sreekovil. The west facing temple also has shrines of upa devatas.
