Kodumon Vaikundapuram Temple – Festival - Kodumon Pooram 2025 Date

Kodumon Vaikundapuram temple is located at Kodumon near Adoor in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Vishnu. The ten day annual festival in the temple begins on Atham nakshatra and ends with arattu on Thiruvonam nakshatra day and is famous as Kodumon Pooram. Kodumon Pooram 2025 date is March 25.

This is a typical Kerala style temple with a kodimaram (flag pole), chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam and shrines of upa devatas. A chathur bahu murti of Bhagavan Vishnu is worshipped in round sanctum sanctorum – vatta sreekovil. Upa devatas in the temple include Ganapathy and Nagas.

The annual festival in the temple is famous for ezhunnallathu atop caparisoned elephants. Panchavadyam, pandi melam and traditional performing art forms of Kerala are part of the big festival. Pujas, homams, abhishekam and other rituals are performed as per Vaishnava tradition.

Vishu and Thiruvonam are other important occasions in the shrine.
