Chathakudam Dharma Sastha temple is located at Chathakudam near Vallachira, in Thrissur district. The temple is believed to be more 2300 years old. The annual Thiruvathira festival is known as Chathakudam Sastha's Thiruvathira Purappadu.
The temple has a Gajaprista Sreekovil. Chuttambalam, Namaskara Mandapams, Vilakku Madathara, Aanappallamathil and east and west Maha Gopurams are part of the festival.
Chathakudam pooram is one of the famous poorams in Peruvanam and Arattupuzha pooram.
The deity leaving the temple to participating in the various poorams is known as Chathakudam Sastha's Thiruvathira Purappadu. Sastha is having pooram procession with 7 elephants.
The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Shiva, Mahavishnu, Kali And Durga.
