Arattupuzha Pathisseril Devi Temple – Festival

Arattupuzha Pathisseril Devi temple is located near Thrikkunnapuzha – Haripad in Alappuzha district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Meena Masam (March – April). The most important day during the annual festival is the Meena Bharani day.

Various unique rituals and pujas are part of the annual festival here. Kattukuthira, annadanam, desha thalappoli, melam, velichappadu and procession are part of the annual festival. The highlight of the festival is the Thirumudi ezhunnallathu. The shrine also performs kalasham, abhishekam and various other annual pujas and rituals.

This is a typical west facing Kerala shrine. The temple has a chathura sreekovil, nalambalam, namaskara mandapam and kodimaram.

Tuesdays and Fridays are the most important days in the shrine. The temple observes Navratri with Vidyarambham and Thrikarthika festival.
