Venjaramoodu Manikkodu Mahadeva Temple – Shivratri Festival

Venjaramoodu Manikkodu Mahadeva temple is located at Manikkode near Venjaramoodu in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva – Mahadeva. The 10-day annual Shivratri festival held in February or March (Malayalam Kumbha Masam) is the important festival in the temple.

This is a small temple with a chathura sreekovil. Shivling is worshipped in the shrine. There is a namaskara mandapam and shrines of upa devatas.

A mela and carnival are part of the annual festival. Apart from the special pujas and rituals, the festival is also famous for procession, melam, annadanam, and traditional temple folk art forms.
