Valiyaveedu Devi Temple Kattanam

Kattanam Valiyaveedu Devi temple is located at Kattanam in Alappuzha district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy. The annual festival in the temple is observed on the Makara Bharani day (January - February).

The festival is famous for caparisoned elephants, procession, melam, temple folk arts and other rituals. Unique Bhagavathy temple festival rituals are part of the festival.

This is a small shrine which has all the essential elements associated with Kerala Bhagavathy temples include sreekovil, chuttambalam and a pond.

Apart from the annual festival the temple also observes Navratri and Thrikarthika in Vrischika Masam.

The temple is open in the morning hours from 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM
The shrine is open in the evening hours from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
