Mavoor Thengilakadavu Chittari Pethrikkovil Santhanagopala Moorthy Temple

Chittari Pethrikkovil Santhanagopala Moorthy temple, also known as Chittarikkavu temple, is located at Mavoor Thengilakadavu – Ayamkulam in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Santana Gopala form of Sri Krishna. The annual festival in the temple is held in Kumbha Masam (February – March).

The annual festival is famous for unique pujas and rituals. Melam and Kerala temple folk arts are part of the puja and festivals.

The temple has a chuttambalam, namaskara mandapam, chathura sreekovil and a kodimaram.

Childless couples are blessed with children after offering prayers in the temple.

The annual Prathishta dinam and Kalabhashikeam is held in Meda Masam (April – May).

The shrine also observes Navratri – Vijayadashami (Ezhuthiniruthu) and Mandala Makaravilakku Kalam.

The temple observes the annual Rig Veda Yajur Veda Murajapam, Kalabhabhishekam and Laksharchana in Dhanu Masam.
