Thadiyoor Sreekanteswaram Temple – Festival

Thadiyoor Sreekanteswaram temple is located at Thadiyoor near Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva. The annual Maha Shivratri festival is of great importance in the temple.

The annual Shivratri festival begins with kodiyettam. Various pujas, homams are rituals associated with Shiva temples are held on the occasion.

This is a small temple with a namaskara mandapam and chathura sreekovil. A shivling is worshipped in the temple. Nandi faces Shiva and sits on the namaskara mandapam.

The annual prathishta festival in the temple is held in Meena Masam.

The upa devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapati and Hanuman.
