Pazhayarikandom Mahadeva temple is located at Pazhayarikandom in Idukki district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva or Mahadeva. The annual Shivratri festival is an important occasion in the temple.
This is a very small shrine of Shiva with a Shivling pratishta in the sanctum sanctorum – chathura sreekovil. Bhagavathy or Devi is the upa devata here. A utsava murti of Shiva and Goddess Parvati is worshipped in the sanctum.
The annual festival is famous for various offerings and pujas. A procession with melam is part of the festivities.
