Kuruvilkavu-Naithilakavu Mahavishnu Bhagavathi Temple – Puttekara

Kuruvilkavu-Naithilakavu Mahavishnu Bhagavathi temple is located at Puttekara in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Bhagavan Vishnu and Goddess Bhagavathi. The annual pooram festival in the temple is held in Kumbha Masam. The festival is famous for the participation of nearly 13 caparisoned elephants.

The annual festival is famous for the carrying of Thidambu of Bhagavathy as part of the ezhunellippu. The caparisoned elephants lineup to the accompaniment of Melam. The shrine also organizes temple rituals, pujas and Kerala temple folk art forms.

Ramayana Masam, Navratri and Thrikarthika are the other important festivals in the temple.
