Karekkattu Parambu Sri Kottamkulathi Bhagavathi temple is located at Ambikapuram in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi and the temple is famous for the 10-day annual Thalappoli festival held in Makaram month.
The temple is dedicated to Mother Goddess Shakti. It is a small temple with a sreekovil and upa devata shrines.
The annual festival is famous for ezhunnallathu, caparisoned elephants, melam and procession. Women participate in the annual Thalappoli ritual. The ritual is also known as Kathir Thalappoli Mahotsavam.
Eight elephants are part of the annual festival rituals here.
The annual pratishta festival in the temple is held in Malayalam Edava masam (May - June).
