Punnamparambu Naliseri Bhagavathy Temple – About – Pooram Festival

Punnamparambu Naliseri Bhagavathy temple is located at Punnamparambu in Thrissur district, Kerala. The annual festival in the temple is held in Makaram month and is famous as Punnamparambu Pooram. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathy.

This is a small traditional Kerala temple. The shrine follows the rituals associated with Bhagavathy temples.

The annual Punnamparambu temple pooram festival is famous for melam, traditional temple art forms, pageantry, tableau and caparisoned elephants.

Another important festival in the temple is the Thalappoli festival in Dhanu Masam. The thira and pongala are held during this annual festival.

Navratri and Thrikarthika are the two other important festivals in the temple.

The annual prathishta festival in the temple is also held in Makaram month.
