Choondal Melekkavu Bhagavathy temple is located at Choondal in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Bhagavathi or Devi. The annual festival in the temple is famous as Choondal pooram and is held in the Makaram Masam (January – February).
This is a small typical shrine one comes across in Kerala. The shrine is complete with a sreekovil and sub shrines.
The annual festival is famous for panchari melam, Kerala temple folk arts, processions and caparisoned elephants.
The Thalappoli festival is also held in the Makara Masam.
