Vengara Tali Temple – Shiva Kshetram

Vengara Tali temple is dedicated to Shiva and is located at Vengara in Malappuram district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 18 Tali kshetrams of ancient Kerala. The main deity Shiva is worshipped in the form of Shivling and is a big peeda prathishta.

The shrine has a square shaped two tier sanctum sanctorum – chatura sreekovil. The darshanam of Vengara Tali temple is towards east.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Dakshinamurti, Sastha and Goddess Bhagavathi.

The temple remained closed for several years. In 2001, the shrine was taken up by Sri Tali Siva Temple Paripalana Committee formed by local people.

The important festivals in the temple are Shivratri, Navratri and Mandala Kalam. The Ayyappan Vilakku held here is famous in the region.
