Thottippal Bhagavathy Temple – History – Facts

Thottippal Bhagavathy temple is located at Thottippal in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala. The temple participates in the famous Arattupuzha pooram.

The darshanam of Thottippal Bhagavathy temple is towards east. The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathi and Alingal Bhagavathi.

The annual festival in the temple is held on Pooram nakshatra in meenam month.

As per history, the temple was destroyed in an attack. The shrine was renovated by Chilyai Nair Vettu karnavar and the prathishta expense was borne by Malayatti Vettil Karnavar.
