Pancha Kanyas are five ideal or illustrious women in Hindu
religion. As per classical shloka, Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari
are the five ideal women. It is said that worshipping and chanting their names
helps in overcoming all afflictions.
Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari are known as
Pancha Kanyas because of their righteous conduct even in the most trying
circumstances.
