Molukurshi Ayyappan Kavu Temple Thottakkara

Molukurshi Ayyappankavu temple is located at Thottakkara near Ottappalam in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala. The shrine is mentioned in the Thottam Pattu, which narrates about the 108 Ayyappan Kavukal in Kerala.

The square-shaped sanctum sanctorum – chatura sreekovil – has no roof. Sastha here is merged in one with nature. The prathishta is that of Shilakhandam.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Goddess Bhadrakali and Nagathanmar.

As per history, the temple was destroyed by Tipu Sultan.

Currently, the temple is managed by a committee of local people.
