Velladikkunnu Karthyayani temple is located around 4 km northeast of Koottupatha on Kunnamkulam – Koottanad – Nagalassery road in Thrissur district. The temple is one among the 108 Durga temples in Kerala and it is known as Velladikunnu in the Durga Kshetra Stotra Namavali.
The temple has a square sanctum sanctorum – chatura sreekovil. The murti worshipped is four-armed – Chaturbahu Vigraham.
Ayyappa and Ganapathi are worshipped on the southwest side of the sreekovil.
The main festival in the temple is held on Thrikarthika nakshatra day in Vrischikam month.
