Thrikkangode Randumoorthy Temple – Vaniyamkulam – Information

Thrikkangode Randumoorthy temple is located at Thrikkangode village on Chorottur Road near Vaniyamkulam (Ottapalam) in Palakkad district, Kerala. Vishnu and Shiva are worshipped in the same sreekovil (sanctum sanctorum). Both the murtis are of swayambhu sankalpam (of divine origin).

The sanctum sanctorum is circular (vatta sreekovil) and darshanam is towards west. Vishnu Bhagavan is on left and Shiva is on right in the sreekovil.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Sri Krishna, Goddess Parvati, Ganapathi and Ayyappan.

The main festival observed in the temple is Shivratri. Niramala is performed on Dhanu Masam 1.

As per history, the temple belonged to Pozhathu, Varikkasseri and Paruthipra manas. Later it was managed for a brief period by Kavalappara Nair.
