Deveswaram Umamaheswara Mahadeva Temple Kilimanoor - Festival - History

Deveswaram Umamaheswara Mahadeva temple is located at Madavoor Road in Kilimanoor, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Uma (Goddess Parvati) and Mahadevar (Shiva).

The darshanam of Deveswaram temple is towards east. The temple has a circular sanctum sanctorum – vatta sreekovil. The roof is covered with gold-plated metal.

The most important festival here is the Mahashivratri.

As per history, the temple was built in Kollavarsham 149 by the mother of Vallabhan Kotha, a king of Venad.
