Chiralayam Sree Ramaswamy temple is located around a kilometer from Kunnamkulam and 8 km from the famous Guruvayoor temple in Thrissur district, Kerala. The main deity worshipped in the temple is Bhagavan Sri Rama. The darshanam of Chiralayam Sree Ramaswamy is towards east.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Lakshmana, Mata Sita, Hanuman, Shiva, Vettaikaran and Goddess Bhadrakali.
The 8-day annual festival in the temple begins with kodiyettam on Punartham nakshatra in Kumbham month (February – March).
Kuchela Dinam in Dhanu masam (3rd Wednesday of December) is observed here.

As per history, the deity worshipped here was the paradevata of Chiralayam kovilakam.
